If these programs are anything like online programs I have attended, oftentimes students aren’t locked into “attending class” or lectures at certain times, as on a college campus.
Instead, the entire information, written and video, as well as slideshows and videos are available online. The information is available to students online at their leisure.
It’s up to them now, to be efficient with their time and complete all assignments within the given deadlines.
Students also interact with each other via discussion boards (online programs are surprisingly immersive and social!) You may also be able to arrange an offsite meeting via email, SMS, or other means.
It can be scary to attend online school, but you have access to counselors as well as professors, no matter how far away they may live.
