There are some restrictions and exclusions to Walmart’s college program.

You can choose to study in areas such as business and technology or supply chain management.

Employees without bachelor’s or associate degrees cannot use the program. You can’t get an associate or bachelor’s degree through the program.

Non-eligible temporary associates have been temporarily hired to work holiday seasons.

Finally, many salaried staff are not eligible. However, field service associates are eligible if they are not salaried.

Do Walmart College Program Scholarships Exist?

Walmart doesn’t offer any scholarships because all costs are paid for by the company.

Walmart, however, offered scholarship programs independent from LBU for many years.

Those were the Walmart Associate and Walmart Dependent scholarships, which applied to their employees and children or dependents of their employees.

Up to $13,000 was available for the scholarship to go towards a four year degree program.

Walmart ended the scholarship program due to the imminent expansion of its LBU program.

LBU is only available to current employees. This means that Walmart employee dependents cannot receive tuition aid from Walmart.
