General Thoughts On The Bell Howell Ultrasonic Pest Repeller

Bell and Howell is well-known and well-established. They produce a multitude of cameras-to-sunlamp devices. They have recently ventured into producing ultrasonic pest repellents and are obviously great at it! One of their bestsellers is Bell Howell Ultrasonic Pest Repeller 4 Pack.
A fast and efficient ultrasonic pest repelling solution for mice, roaches, spiders, ants, and even gnats, this system is primarily used in terrariums but also works well in small to medium-sized homes and offices. And because it has an exceptionally wide variety of pests, you don’t need to buy tons of repellers if you have multiple infestations.

Handy And Flexible Pest Repellers

The thing we love about this Bell and Howell product is that it is a safe, humane alternative to chemicals and traps, just like other pest repellers. This means you can use it even though kids and pets are present. With this handy pest repellent, you reduce (if not completely remove) contact with pests potentially carrying deadly diseases. It also prevents the trouble of disposing dead animals resulting from trapping – the pests throw themselves out! Using these units, you should know they need to be in an open space to function.
Hard surfaces deflect ultrasonic waves, so plugging this system behind couches, counters, or secluded corners will diminish its performance. Plug it in a non-obstructed region. Also, don’t have this if you’ve got hamsters, gerbils, chinchilla, or something that’s a rodent-like pet because they can hear ultrasound. You don’t want to terrorize your own dogs. What we found with Bell Howell Ultrasonic Pest Repeller (or any other ultrasonic repeller) is that it takes time for its maximum effect.
Pests are adaptive and resilient animals, so it may take a while to give up their nests. Many sources suggest it takes an average of 2-4 weeks to clear out the pests. Mind, however, that you didn’t get an infestation immediately; it won’t happen overnight.

Bell Howell Ultrasonic Pest Repeller Variations

This gadget is 26 x 19 x 16 inches and weights a heavy 8 pounds. Each unit, however, weights just less than 2 pounds. Bell and Howell’s pest repeller is successful against mice, rats, ants, roaches, and spiders. Given its convenient size, it’s great for home and office use.
This system, however, is often used to keep pests from terrariums. The good thing about buying this system is one unit is enough to cover a small or medium space. This means that only one pest repeller kit can already cover 4 spaces! It’s too easy to use, just plug it in and it’s good to go. And with a price of just $25,99 (prices can vary), certainly worth every penny.
The 4-Pack, like all the products we study, gets rid of pests by emitting high-frequency or ultrasonic sound from 20,000 Hertz and beyond. Such high-frequency sound is inaudible to the human ear making use of this insect repellent. Pests, however, have highly acute senses and this bad boy’s ultrasonic tone scares them away. Ultrasonic Pest Repeller Settlement

Bell and Howell’s ingenuity culminated in repellers not taking up outlet spaces. This company developed Bell Howell Ultrasonic Pest Repellers with Extra Outlet – 3 Pack, a variant of the original pest repeller. It operates much like the original repeller, except with an additional outlet on the side. If the 3-pack is too many, they have the same model in 2-pack. You can also see the entire list here.

Bell & Howell Must Face Lawsuit Over Ultrasonic Pest Repellers

A federal judge ruled by New York-based Bell & Howell, which manufactures numerous household goods, facing a potential class action lawsuit accusing it of manufacturing “ineffective and worthless” ultrasonic pest repellers. The United States On Wednesday, District Judge William Pauley rejected the company’s motion for summary judgment.
