You can paint match if you have an existing colour. Bring in a sample and the retailer will find the perfect match.

Home Depot says they can match your color if you send them a “color you found this morning”.

You will get the best results if you have at least 1 inch chip.

Bring in any item, image or prop that inspires you.

Let the computers match it by rubbing a few drops of the paint onto some paper. The paint may change its color once it dries.

Both Home Depot and Lowe’s will color-match paint that comes from the other’s stores, or from neither’s stores!

Consumer Reports’ list of top-selling paint brands includes Lowe’s Sherwin Williams, Home Depot’s Behr and Home Depot’s Behr.

Sherwin Williams also shows up multiple times on the Good Housekeeping list of best interior paints (albeit for the colors, but I can’t imagine GH would feature shoddy-quality paint).

However, both of these stores have been used by me personally.

For my home office, I used Sherwin Williams Showcase paint.

I normally use Behr paint, but decided to try the Sherwin Williams paint.

The painter’s tape had ripped off my baseboards and window trims.

Home Depot’s Behr Marquee will never do this. The one-coat guarantee is absolutely truthful. And the final product looks amazing.

Home Depot Behr Marquee is my favorite interior paint.

If Sherwin Williams’ Infinity (also with a one-coat guarantee) is similar in quality, it’s also more expensive.
