Seattle is one of the most famous cities in the States, as the birthplace of Starbucks, grunge music and retail giant Amazon, but its residents’ cost of living soars at 49 percent higher than the national average.
Clearly, Seattle and the state of Washington are expensive places to live.
Aldi coming to Seattle or Washington State in 2022
Aldi has no plans to open any stores in Seattle and Washington State. The German supermarket chain is expanding its presence in the American Southwest and the Gulf Coast region, while also funneling funds into store makeovers in the Northeast.
Aldi Isn’t Coming to Seattle, Washington State?
Aldi is currently building in the American Southwest. (They just opened their fourth Arizona shop), but they also have a strong presence in Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Aldi is also building a new distribution centre in Loxley to help facilitate goods movement throughout the Gulf Coast. This is in conjunction with Aldi entering its 38th state in the U.S., Louisiana.
This chain is also involved in numerous store renovations that update interiors and layouts across the Northeast.
Aldi’s focus might be on the Gulf Coast rather than Washington. Seattle is the state hub. This could be related to population density.
This would make me very surprised that this wasn’t considered in Aldi’s expansion plans.
Where Could Aldi Potentially Locate Stores In Seattle Or Washington State?
Aldi-rich Aldi state residents who feel the need to return to their home states and relocate from Aldi wealth to Aldi barren ones such as Washington are encouraged to visit Aldi US Facebook page. There they share ideas for stores.
Spokane is a city that keeps popping up.
Aldi could choose any city that welcomes them to Washington state if/when he decides to make the move.
Is There an Aldi near Washington State?
Washington’s residents don’t have much luck finding Aldi stores. They can only find one in Clovis (CA), which is approximately 750m away. Ouch.
Washington State: Where can shoppers buy groceries instead of Aldi?
Washingtonians can find similar grocery prices, even though it is costly to live in Seattle.
Trader Joe’s, a distant cousin, owns 18 stores throughout Washington. The locations range from Olympia to Seattle to Spokane.
WinCo Foods, an employee-owned warehouse-style grocery experience that offers low prices and high quality food, is another popular option.
Grocery Outlet is an excellent option for those looking to save money on food, as it offers discontinued or close-to-expiration items at reduced prices.
