CVS is unable to cash checks in stores starting 2022. For customers to cash checks at CVS, they will have to find another retailer (e.g. Walmart, Kroger and Safeway) or visit a nearby credit union or bank to do so. CVS can accept both personal and business cheques for payment.

Safeway sells its own printed payroll, and charges $2.25 to cash $200 in government checks.
