Although this may raise the likelihood of your package being lost or damaged, many Amazon buyers with PO boxes have found success using General Delivery addresses in order to obtain their goods.

The USPS Service was established to help individuals who frequently travel or do not have mailing addresses but still wish to receive mail.

Why does Amazon still not deliver to PO Boxes
Currently, Amazon uses UPS and independent contractors to deliver many items, but unfortunately, UPS doesn’t serve PO boxes, according to its website.
FedEx and shipping contractors are the same. While Amazon discontinued FedEx delivery, certain marketplace sellers continue to use the service.
Amazon is choosing UPS over independent contractors because it can save money on many delivery costs.
While small lightweight parcels are typically charged the most by the postal service, heavy items that weigh over a pound will be transported much cheaper by other carriers.
Amazon is able to make some exceptions from this policy. You can get replacement phones or upgrade your post office box within five business days. To purchase a cell phone, however, you will need to have a street address.
Amazon Pharmacy is not available for orders that require delivery to PO boxes.
To obtain prescription drugs, you will need to have a street address.
Does Amazon Prime Ship To PO Boxes?
Amazon Prime members who have a post box may still be entitled to some free shipping.
Amazon Prime is available for most US PO boxes. It can be used to purchase items from Amazon.com or select marketplace sellers.
Amazon Day and Release-Date deliveries are not offered to Prime members with PO box addresses. It may take a bit more patience.
If customers are able to provide proof of address, they will be redirected from Prime shipping to Standard Shipping.
Does Amazon Ship To PO Boxes In Puerto Rico?
If you reside in Puerto Rico or want to send a gift to someone who lives in this U.S. territory, further restrictions apply.
Amazon ships some PO boxes to the island, but not all. The Amazon website will show you which addresses are eligible for shipping when you complete the checkout process.
Amazon also doesn’t offer expedited or priority delivery for Puerto Rico postal boxes.
This territory will not receive certain dangerous, large or heavy products. For packages sent to Puerto Rico, the maximum weight is 70 pounds
Amazon Fresh Can Deliver To PO Boxes
Unfortunately, customers with PO boxes cannot pick up items from the post office. Fresh will only deliver to addresses on the street. If you live near an Amazon Fresh Pickup location, you can collect your groceries there instead.
What stores deliver to PO Boxes
You can also buy the item at a different store. Many stores limit shipping to boxes, just like Amazon. This is why some stores don’t offer two-day or overnight shipping.
However, some companies offer PO Box Delivery of all items:
Some stores ship merchandise to PO boxes. You’ll probably have better luck ordering small items.
Target ships products to certain addresses, such as those that don’t exceed a specified weight limit or measure. Check the “Shipping” information under “Item Details” to find out if an item is eligible.
On the other hand, some retailers completely exclude post office boxes because they rely on UPS or FedEx for shipping.
The stores are Staples and Sears as well as Big Lots and Dollar Tree. However, all four companies provide customers with the option to order items online and pick them up at the nearest store.
The bottom line is that Amazon only delivers a limited selection of products to post office boxes.
